Photographic portraits are one of the most powerful artistic ways to immortalize a person. A portrait allows seeing beyond the actual face of an individual, it captures his story, his emotions. The marks that the past has printed on his face give hints about the experiences he has lived, and the light that shines throughout his eyes reveal his hopes…. His pose, his clothes, the look on his face, his expressions are additional details that lead us to pierce the mystery of this person. Mystery that cannot be revealed that easily, if not never.
A portrait allows seeing beyond the actual face of an individual, it captures his story, his emotions.
Each of us can interpret a portrait our own ways, but the true power of a photographic portrait is its capacity of making us imagine the past and the future of the portrayed person without knowing him or her.
